engageDC - Employment Opportunities
Through engageDC, GW students serve with one of nine partner community organizations in Washington, D.C. Students provide service to meet the everyday needs addressed by the organization such as tutoring, meal preparation, or program support and coordination. In addition, students work with the organization to address issues that build the organization’s capacity, expand the mission, or address infrastructure issues. For instance, engageDC participants can work on program evaluation, volunteer management, web design or the development of new program areas. engageDC students to gain new perspectives by working on their leadership development and creating a diverse network at GW and beyond the campus of people committed to social justice.
This opportunity is open to undergraduate and graduate students interested in taking passions and skills to the next level by serving at one of nine nonprofit organizations for 3-6 hours per week. Students serve for a semester or academic year. Volunteer and Federal Work Study students are eligible to apply.
This semester or year-long commitment is available to volunteers and Federal-Work Study students.
