Campuses and Student Leaders Recognized for Voting Initiatives at Regional Civic Engagement Summit
Four colleges and universities and three students were recognized by the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge for their efforts to increase student voting in the region at the Spring 2024 Transform Mid-Atlantic Regional Civic Engagement Summit on April 6 2024 at Towson University.
Frostburg State, GW, and UMBC 2023 Student Voting Honor Roll Students Honored
In 2023, 175 students across the country were recognized for their efforts to advance nonpartisan student voter registration, education, and turnout efforts, as well as ensuring equitable access to the polls by being named to the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge's 2023 Student Voting Honor Roll. Ten of those students hailed from college and university campuses in the Maryland, DC, and Delaware region. Three of these student leaders participated in the summit and were recognized for their achievements, including: Rachael Michalski of Frostburg State University, Isabella Reed of The George Washington University, and Musa Jafri of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
