Brooke Moses

Brooke Moses is a junior majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation with a micro-minor in Health Equity. She is passionate about making an equitable environment for all while placing an emphasis on character-building. Brooke’s volunteer experience as The George Washington University student leader for “Life Pieces to Masterpieces” has allowed her to pour into adolescent males - while simultaneously planting seeds that will cultivate their character and build leadership skills for the future.

Emily Swanson

Emily Swanson is a fourth-year student majoring in Organizational Sciences and minoring in Human Services and Social Justice. She served as a participant and is now a leader at Miriam’s Kitchen through engageDC. Additionally, she has logged over 300 community service hours throughout her time at GW and earned the silver Presidential Volunteer Service Award in 2023.

Sanjana Anand

Sanjana Anand is a junior majoring in Neuroscience with minors in Creative Writing and Biology. She is the student leader for the Latin American Youth Center, where she started volunteering her freshman year. Sanjana is passionate about making an impact in DC communities through a shared enthusiasm and passion for civic engagement and can't wait to continue her role as an engageDC leader for this school year.

Mykala Bledsoe

Mykala Bledsoe is a junior majoring in Sociology and is a co-site leader for Little Friends for Peace with EngageDC. On campus, Mykala also works in the Office of Advocacy and Support as a Student Support Assistant, is a peer advisor for the UHP, and is a member of the inaugural Horizons Social Justice Retreat. Her passions and research are centered around trauma-informed approaches to community harm reduction for substance abuse and nonviolence, as well as her cat Freya.

Nicholas Gigante

Nicholas Gigante is a third-year political science major who has been serving with EngageDC at the Latino Student Fund since he first came to GW. His leadership of the site is driven by the belief that the key to creating effective, long-term change, regardless of scale, is to engage directly with the community, and that understanding their needs and goals, especially with topics like education, is fundamental not only to our own success but that of our future generations as well, is crucial to achieving that change, something LSF excels in.

Cali Guastella

Cali Guastella is a senior majoring in Accounting with a concentration in Finance and minoring in Psychological and Brain Sciences. Volunteering has been a constant passion throughout her life, which has continued in college through her engagement with A Wider Circle. Cali seeks to make a positive impact in the community by building people up and fostering kindness. 


Garima Khatiwada

Garima Khatiwada is a sophomore majoring in Psychological and Brain Sciences with a concentration in Cognitive Neuroscience and a minor in Marketing. She is on track to apply to GWU's 5-year BA/MA program to earn a Masters of Arts in Art Therapy. Garima is passionate about innovative mental health care, mental health awareness, and the intersection between art and psychology. Outside of work and academics, Garima enjoys painting, reading, and exploring D.C.! 


Juliette Teutsch

Juliette Teutsch is a freshman at GW, majoring in Political Science and Spanish, and is the site leader for engageDC's AnBryce. She is also a member of the International Politics cohort of the Women's Leadership Program and is passionate about serving her community, especially in the areas of equitable educational access, women's rights, and prison reform. Previously, Juliette founded the Women's Empowerment Club at Rabun Gap Nacoochee School, where she led discussions on campus about gender inequality, as well as organized item drives and fundraisers for local domestic abuse shelters. She also has organized a school book drive for Riverbend Correctional Facility in Milledgeville, GA. Juliette is excited about the opportunity to work with AnBryce and is looking forward to serving the DC community.


Amanda Valenzuela

Amanda Valenzuela is a second-year student studying international affairs with a special regional interest in Latin America. She is originally from Chicago and her favorite thing to do is spend the day exploring new neighborhoods in her city. In her first year of college, she worked as a tutor with Reading Partners and looks forward to working with the Nashman Center again as an engageDC student leader with the Ethiopian Community Development Council.
