Community-Based Participatory Research

The 2018 Nashman Faculty Learning Communities (FLC) are forming now. These small inter-disciplinary/inter-professional groups meet monthly for one year to discuss and learn collectively about their topic of interest. All GW faculty and administrators are welcome. Click here for information about other FLC's forming for 2018.

2018 Nashman FLC: Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR)

Co-chairs: Wendy Wagner, Honey W. Nashman Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service and  Emily Morrison, Director of the Human Services and Social Justice program

The purpose of this FLC is to build community across disciplines and support high-quality practice in CBPR at GW. Meeting monthly, this group will share resources on CBPR from across the disciplines, and learn from each other's research experiences, challenges, and solutions. The group will also identify existing sources of institutional support for this work and make recommendations for additional supports needed for GW to become a leader in CBPR.
