High-Quality Curriculum

GW Math Matters is a member of the CitySchools Collaborative, which includes schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders working to expand access to HIT. CitySchools Collaborative has been an ongoing supporter of GW Math Matters since its inception. CitySchools Collaborative and GW Math Matters received funding from OSSE’s HIT initiative during the first round of grant funding and have partnered to ensure the delivery of high-quality, standards-based tutoring, with a focus on at-risk students whose educational trajectory was disproportionately impacted by the pandemic. To track student outcomes and support public accountability and program improvement, GW Math Matters collaborates with CitySchools Collaborative and Empower K12 to ensure streamlined data collection and reporting. This collaboration ensures the effective development of strategically targeted interventions to support students and offer opportunities for continuous program improvement.

Comparing the two graphs below shows that the schools we serve are located in areas with a lack of private tutoring facilities. Despite locations and economic status, every student deserves individualized learning opportunities. GW Math Matters is proud to support our local schools to promote math readiness and prepare our students to succeed in later education and beyond.
