Give-A-Gift 2026
REGISTER HERE FOR GIVE-A-GIFT 2026!
The season of generosity is on the horizon, and we want you to join us in making a difference in the D.C. community this holiday season with GW's annual Give-A-Gift tradition!
Give-A-Gift is a signature event and tradition at the George Washington University to provide gifts, essential items, and educational resources to children and families in the D.C. community during the holiday season. For 37 years, the GW community has stepped forward to support our neighbors in D.C. with gifts for the holidays.
How does it work?
GW students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends can sign up as an individual or team donor!
We ask that donors purchase 3 gifts (approximately $25 each) for each sponsored family member. Every gift recipient will receive one educational gift (for children) or a household gift (for parents), one clothing item, and one fun gift. Donors will get matched with a child, teen, or parent and the Give-A-Gift team will supply a "wish list" for each person, so you know details like their favorite color, special interests, age, clothing size, etc.
The children and families receiving these gifts have been identified by our community partners at Academy of Hope, DC Department of Human Services, CentroNía, Housing Up, Edward C. Mazique Parent Child Center, and the Latin American Youth Center.
How do I get involved?
Registration for being a donor for Give-A-Gift is open until November 15th, 2026!
