10/2, 4pm - 5pm – Social Innovation – How to Start?

Starting something new is often the most challenging yet crucial part of any project. Fortunately for you, the best way to start is to just start!
Sign up for our social innovation workshop where we will start by exploring different ways we can find inspiration that breaks the inertia of inaction. We will focus on understanding the community's needs, experiences, and emotions for gaining deep insights into the problem you want to solve.

10/8, 4pm - 5pm – Social Innovation – Thinking and Design Thinking

Join us for a crash course on Design Thinking, where you'll learn how to tackle challenges creatively and effectively. We will guide you through the core stages of Design Thinking step-by- step!

This session will focus on how to craft compelling narratives that your audience and community members can empathize and resonate with. Your story can inspire other people to start their stories.
We will talk about social media best practices, tips and tricks to utilize the potential of social media and how to make your story be a part of the broader part of the narrative!

You have a plan, but how to turn it into a proposal? This session will guide you through the essential steps of turning your amazing ideas into impactful and sustainable projects.
From identifying pressing social issues to developing innovative solutions, crafting a solid plan, and securing funding, you'll learn how to navigate the resources and opportunities GWupstart and the Honey W. Nashman Center offers.
